Exploration
Working sketches that explore forms and how they can influence the storage of cords.
Get into physical 3D as quickly as possible.
Using quick and simple geometry to test out the ideas that were explorred durring the intitial ideation. We learn with every step and continue as a cyclical process.
Rubber: Replaceable but still prone to breaking. Specifically concerned about tears.
Tufted Bristles: Individual clusters are inserted into spaced holes. Can either be a separate assembly or incorporated into the housing.
Crimped Bristles: Crimped Stip brush construction. Can be glued in place, molded in place or use screws to connect it.
Retainment Options
Overmold: Prone to breaking and not replaceable.
Proving it can work instead of thinking it might not.
It was a long road to knowing if the brush mechanism would work. Working with the engineers we found manufacturing cabalities ans was ablke to durability test the brushes.
